The WSC Coaching Team

The Whitecourt Skating Club’s professional coaching team adheres to the highest standards of excellence and professionalism. All coaches are registered members of Skate Canada and are governed by its national and provincial standards. Our mission is not only to develop strong, skilled athletes but also to empower skaters to become confident, resilient leaders both on and off the ice. We are committed to creating a positive, safe, and motivating training environment that supports each athlete in reaching their full potential.

All members of our professional coaching staff must be in good standing and meet the following requirements:

• Be a registered professional coach member with Skate Canada

• Hold NCCP-trained or certified status through the National Coaching Certification Program

• Maintain a valid police record check

• Hold current First Aid and CPR certification

• Complete the Respect in Sport training course

• Complete the Making Ethical Decisions module
